There is a very nice C reference on the web (has some C++ notes, too):

The Master Index comes in handy during programming. The guide is
downloadable for offline reading. Either you run a html browser in the
background or someone is brave enough to convert the html pages of the
guide into the xwpe help format if Martin Leslie gives his OK.
