I'm not sure what the problem is but since I started using Allegro-3.9.37 the xwpe debugger has stopped working. The trip to La-La land seems to happen when my programs try to open a window, and the only way out is to kill both the xwpe-xterm and xwpe itself. I've had no problem with previous allegros.
