(exits - one of the above) Brotherhood - squat pc/npc guildmember that semi-worships their ancestors. Devastator - ogryn pc/npc warriors who charge into gunfire to engage in melee combat. Eldar Guardian - a standard eldar who also is part of the standing militia. Eldar Knight - brave eldar warriors who seek lost waystones (that hold the souls of dead eldar). (This is a pretty cool career if I do say so myself) Flagbearer - (I know, stupid name) an honorguard for certain relics and also the person who carries a standard in battle. Hearthguard - squat royal soldiers. Servitor - your basic servant type that specializes in one form of work. (Such as directing cleaning robots) Triker - squats who ride three-wheeled motorcycles and who have a real attitude problem. White Shield - novice warriors out to prove themselves to their companions. Zaffer - basically a person out of work or someone who has a really bad job. ('Clean the toliet again...Yes, I know I have robots that can do that sort of thing, but I want YOU to do it!') Adeptus Arbites - Imperial marshalls that enforce the Emperor's will. Diamondback - a person who acts as a skirmisher/lookout. Grenadier - someone who liked fireworks too much as a kid... now they throw gernades for a living! Gunner - someone who knows how to operate vehicle-mounted weapons. Lawman - the person who enforces law in their localized area. Nomad - someone who chooses to live outside the realms of civilization. Rough Rider - fighters who use a mount/vehicle in combat. Settler - someone who settles on a planet outside the Imperium's influence. Survivalist - a person who can live off the land and is usually ignorant of the finer points of technology. Warren Protector - an individual that guards a tract of land - often a private garden or woods. Adventurer - someone who just can't sit at home to live a normal life; they crave action! A.T. Driver - a very exotic type of taxi cab driver. Brat - a gang member. Gamer - a person that makes a living playing video games (actually, they're way beyond video games!). Mine Sweeper/Human (or whatever) Bomb - a person that is part of a military unit that is considered expendable due to their criminal past. Power Boarder - (another cool career) a person insane enough to become addicted to a very dangerous (but popular) sport which involves a surfboard like contraption with a ROCKET on it... 'nuff said! Scavenger - people that will take anything not nailed down (including family members) and sell it. Armorer's Apprentice - an individual who is studying how to fix and build the wide variety of armors. Biotech Apprentice - someone who is learning about bionic replacements. Computer Scribe - a glorified secretary. Lore Warden - a finder of facts via technology. Myth Weaver - a creator/teller of stories; has quite a few technological 'perks'. Power Mech Operator - someone who operates very heavy construction armors as well as a variety of helpful vehicles/tools. Recorder - a historian that can help 'change' a few facts about the past. Techpriest Apprentice - a mechanic. Telectronics Student - someone who is studying the very unreliable method of teleportation. Xenobiologist Student - a person who wishes to learn about other alien beings. Bonesinger - an eldar with the ability to shape a semi-metallic ore that is very important in their culture and has other useful applications. Purifier - someone who has a limited ability to sense chaos, and sometimes purge it. Rebel Psyker - an individual that is not bonded to the Emperor and is fleeing from Imperial authorities - a very dangerous career if one is not strong enough to withstand the creatures of the warp. Sanctioned Psyker - a person who was deemed strong enough to survive without the soul-binding to the Emperor by Imperial officials. Seer - an eldar psychic who can see into the future and affect it limitedly. Solo - a person who perfects the mind as weapon, disdaining the use of technology. The Solo has powers to affect his body to make him a powerful warrior. Warlock - a backwaters psychic who believes that they are a wizard of some sort or another. -- I will post the individual career entries as time permits. I have also come up with some advanced careers for 40K as well... I also have a few additions to the available trappings... Some of the above may seem a little...er, stretched. Well, I did make this quite a while ago (going on three+ years) so I hope you can forgive any mistakes or problems. "There are two things I expect from life; the first is death. The second is a very painful in-between." - Karno Phlaxid, Brat from Acandria IV. Chris Clements chris@tncnet.com "Vale, mi amice."
