World of Future Darkness: Werewolf by Dennis Payne Black Furies The ranks of the Furies have been torn with conflict. As their numbers decrease arguments on the acceptance of male members have grown. The Merope incident displayed the disagreement for the entire tribe to see. It was discovered that a Black Fury member of the Silver Pack was not originally female. She had undergone surgery to alter her appearance. She was cast out of the Furies and branded Merope. The Silver Pack, however, allowed her to stay as she had proven herself to them. Since then the issue has only served to divide the tribe. Children of Gaia The Children of Gaia are in a state of turmoil as reports of a metis having a child spread around the globe. After several false claims in the past, however, most are skeptical of the story. The Imminent Strike have apparently taken charge of the child and are grooming him/her to lead the Garou in the absolute final days. This ray of hope has increased the Imminent Strike's current activities. Glass Walker For a long time the Glass Walker have had no Garou competitors on their turf, but in the year 2020 things have changed. The Silicon Confederation has claimed the cities as their home. The Glass Walker are locked in a battle over their territory with an enemy of their creation. Last of the Red Talons No date is attached to the Red Talons' death. Their tribe had been growing weaker for years. They refused to adapt to the developing world around them. Eventually members went months without ever seeing another Red Talon. Many of their cubs joined other tribes in search of guidance. The Concolation of 2010 was the first without any representative from the Talons. No one knows for sure the Talons have all been killed but no confirmed members have been seen for over five years. Galliard have even begun to sing tales of the last of the wolf tribe. Thus the Apocalypse has claimed another tribe. Silicon Confederation The hum of cyberspace had a different pitch to it that night. I thought it was a sign of our success. The Master Control Program had been in the design phase for over ten years. The MCP's name came from a bad science fiction movie from a couple of decades back. The standard computer program goes renegade and has to be shut down storyline. More appropriate than we thought at the time. You see upon activation the MCP got right down to business. The problem with the Garou has always been the intertribal conflicts. The MCP realized this and appointed itself leader. When we explained that the other Garou wouldn't follow him, the reprogramming began. Electronic-Terror was the first to feel the effects of the blue lightning. Only those who jacked out right away avoided the brain-washing. That was the last time I entered the Matrix. Cyberspace is no longer a safe haven for the Glass Walkers. -Survivor of the Silicon Confederation The Silicon Confederation was proposed by Electronic-Terror at a Glass Walker Grand Moot. He envisioned the creation of the perfect Garou leader, one made of metal not flesh. Initial support was rather low, but the project gained momentum as time went on. In 2017, the first fully functional artificial intelligence was created by the Garou. The year was spent feeding information on the current situation and past attempts at combating the Wyrm. In 2018 the Glass Walker met in a secretive section of cyberspace to witness the activation of the MCP. Survivors tell horror tales of those "reprogrammed" by the blue lighting. The Silicon Confederation began to be called the Silicon Conspiracy or the Silicon Catastrophy. Since then the aggressive recruiting campaign of the Silicon Confederation has increased their size to that of a tribe. They also seem to have been effective at decreasing the Wyrm activity within cyberspace. No one knows the actual plans of the MCP but rumors unnerve even the Get of Fenris. Recent activities has included the gathering of cybernetic parts possibly for the construction of a robotic host for the MCP. The destruction of the parts has been placed as the highest priority of the Glass Walkers. The Master Control Program (MCP) The Master Control Program resides entirely in the cyberrealm. He appears as a cybernetic werewolf in crinos form. By manipulating the energies of cyberspace he has learned to "reprogram" people. The blue lighting leaves the memories of the person intact but removes any hatred on the MCP and makes the victim fanatically loyal to the Silicon Confederation.
