9. Mortals The following mortal profiles were pulled from the Cineplex databases while a routine systems check was being performed... The Nosferatu on duty at the time was unaware of our intrusion... (we think...) 9.1 Mayor Steven Huerst 50 year old poltician Visionary, Architect No known supernatural abilities Mayor Steven Huerst is serving his second term as Toronto Mayor. While it is beleived tha he knows nothing about any of the supernatural peoples in his city, he must suspect something. He recently authorized the opening of the Toronto Paranormal Investigations Unit, based out of the 52nd precinct (coincidentally under Leonard's influence). Mayor Huerst is a popular public speaker, and he has actively sought to find a balance between man and nature. The Garou find him quite acceptable, and there has been talk among the Magi that they may wish to contact him directly, for what purpose...? 9.2 Alexander Calanovich 26 year old Architect Bully, Survivor Mildly telepathic Has spent last two years doing research on vampirism, because of a myth that his many-times great grandmother was embraced. The family doesn't talk about it much, but he has been able to trace her movements from the American civil war all the way to Michigan, but after that, he is unsure. He has come to Toronto on the grounds that Anna Callanovich was briefly involved in the slave train to Canada--and she may have had reason to use it herself. He is the architect contracted by Dr. Malcolm Grier (Tremere) to develop the Pacific Blood Research Foundation, in Victoria, British Columbia. Special requirements were necessary for the Doctors state. Alexander is aware of the kindred, and evidence suggests he may even be a ghoul (This has not been verified). 9.3 Sylvia MacAllister 28 year old Private Investigator Visionary, Cavalier Mild epilepsy Sylvia MacAllister has worked with the Metro Toronto Police Department on many occasions, since her dismissal from the same force. She had a couple of bouts with temporaral lobe epilepsy, which allowed her briefly to contact the spirit of her dead husband. The epilepsy is now under drug-control. Her work, however has taken a decided turn towards the supernatural. She is as yet unaware of the existance of the Kindred or the Garou, but she has had some dealings that suggest an active involvement with the Order of Hermes. 9.4 Stephen Grindley 22 year-old technical writer Mediator, Mediator 1/2 owner of Sanctuary Vampire Sex Club Stephen is a half-owner of the SVSC, he is unaware that his partner, Hrolfgar is kindred. Stephen is a student at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, and little of his time is spent dealing with the club. While his temperament is fair, his willpowr is slghtly stronger than most norms. His brother was indirectly responsible for the death (and subsequent embrace) of a Nosferatu, Dr. Johnathan Adrian Sykes. It is as yet unknown whether Stephen is aware of any of this, or whether the Carl Grindley/Dr. Sykes situation has been respolved. 9.5 Laura Palmer 18 year old Collection Agent Martyr, Rebel Minor Psychometry Laura is a known blood doll of Justine De Couer, the Toreador Elder of Toronto. While Ms. Palmer has no knowledge of any supernatural beings, she does possess some skill in psychometry. Justine has petitioned the prince for the right to embrace Ms. Palmer. However, the petition has not yet been answered. Ms. Palmer suffers debilitating nightmares, that sometime leave her drained emotionally and psychically. It is unknown whether this has anything to do with her gift. Her main area of artistic expertise is in rhythmic dance. But her training as a collection agent suggests that there is a little bit to be desired in her personality. She can be gruff and intimidating, even more than some of the kindred. 9.6 Alison Tyler 24 year old counsellor Poltroon, Vivant High willpower, possibly kinfolk to garou Ms. Tyler is beleived to be the half-sister of Geoff Tyler, currently acting in "Tommy". Mr. Tyler is a known Garou, of the tribe Fianna. It appears that Ms. Tyler has little contact with her brother, excepting a family gathering once a year, during christmas. Very little is actually known about this woman, but it is beleived that she is aware of, if not directly involved in the garou politics concerning the Toronto Non-agression pact. 9.7 Terry Orr "Runs with eyes shut" 39 year old Pharmacist Care-giver, Survivor Spirit Companion, high faith. A known kinfolk, Mr Orr was recently ostracized from his tribe, shortly after he amputated his own arm. The circumstances are still being investigated. He has returned to Toronto from three years away, and assumed his old job as night pharmacist at the Young & Adelaide PharmaMart. While he is a known kinfolf, he has in the past shown himself to be approachable by kindred. Mr. Orr is an Algonquin/French Canadian Metis (not to be confused with the same term used by the garou for their unacceptable offspring). Perhaps this contributes to the fact that he is probably the foremost authority on Faeries, Mage, Garou, Kindred and Wyrm. He claims that he wanted to investigate the phenomenom of Fomori, but was unable to due to impediments with his arm. 9.8 Stewart Breheron 34 year old Detective, Metro. Toronto Police Competitor, Survivor mildly telekinetic, some resistance to magic, high willpower This man is probably the closest thing we've got to a fanatical hunter. He has accosted a number of kindred on at least six different occasions. Currently held back by Leonard's influence in the police department, he should be watched carefully. If leonard should exhibit signs of enterring the third stage of the Malkav cycle, we may want to seek this mans death. 9.9 Suzanne Grindley 31 year old constable, Metro. Toronto Police Child, Praise Seeker Possible empath This is one of Leonard's main contacts among the kine. WHile she is aware that leonard is something more than human, she is not yet aware that he is Kindred. She has been marked for possible embrace, at Leonard's discretion. Though leonard has claimed he might contract out the embrace, to save her the curse of Malkav. She is easily led, and rarely asks questions of an awkward nature. 9.10 Michelle de Vaughn Age 22, Media Correspondant, Crusaders Inc. personnel Mediator, Caregiver No known special abilities Ms. De Vaughn is beleived to be the mortal love of a gangel known only as Julien. She hails originally from British Columbia, but moved to Toronto some time last year. While it is unknown whether she is aware of her boyfriend's state of existance, it does comprise a possible threat. Her contacts among the media are currently few, but a few gentle nudges in the right direction could completely destroy her career, making anything she uncovers about us unbelievable. The alternative is, of course, her demise. 9.11 Theresa de Vaughn Age 13, Grade 8 student Child, Victim, No known special abilities Theresa De Vaughn is Michelle's younger sister. She moved to Toronto with Michelle. It is recorded that their parents died in a terrorist bombing in Vamcouver. She is unaware of any supernatural forces. 9.12 Suzanne McNamara Care-giver, Manipulator Private Investigator, Owner, Spytech Industries 27 year old entrepeneur No known special abilities Ms. McNamara has been of some use to us. She has attained a doctoral degree in Psychology, and currently runs "Spytech Industries" a company which specializes in the most up-to-date intelligence hardware. The store itself has a very James Bondian feel to it, but what is more impressive is that if you are a special member of the company, you can get access to many illegal and black-market goods through her. Don't try to fool her though. Her license for private investigation is valid, and she specializes in information retrieval. Before you become part of the special club, she knows all about you. 9.13 Ron Moody 40 year old Detective Sgt., Metro Toronto Police Loner, Martyr No known special abilities This is Leonards other influence among the police. Sgt. Moody has recently been assigned to Homicide, so much of the kindred affairs will go by unnoticed. However, any investigations we need performed, or anything we need covered up, can be accomplished with some consistency through Sgt. Moody. 9.14 Joan Severin 47 year old Supreme Court Judge Deviant, Traditionalist Marked abilities with psychometry Ms. Severin is not aware of kindred, or its influences. However, she is directly related to one Michael Severin, a known companion to Mr. Dylan Darkedge, an Order of Hermes mage. This relation suggests that if she is not currently aware of other supernatural forces in the world, the time may come when she will be aware of this. We cannot allow such a high office to become aware of the supernatural. We need to find some way to influence her, or at the very least, monitor her, so that if she does become a threat, we can deal wit hher in the most discreet manner possible.
