Problem with the installation

Hello,

I tried to install xwpe (latest ver) on a solaris box
using the PREFIX with no success:

after I untarred the packet:

%cd xwpe-1.5.26a
$mkdir ~/xwpe/
%pwd
/home/blah/blah/myusername/xwpe-1.5.26a
%./configure --prefix=/home/blah/blah/myusername/xwpe/

(...)

%ls -la ~/xwpe
total 8
drwxr-xr-x   2 ps40     cut          512 Feb  9 14:36 .
drwx------  21 ps40     cut         3072 Feb  9 14:47 ..
%


Why there isn't any file installed???

PS. I have no superuser access to install it under /usr/local/
