[Troll] dust of time, millennium bug...

I've just had a chance to read over the dust of time excerpts from
Ken's discussion, as well as James' rather long telling of an age-old
tale, but I must caution you, Dennis, to be careful how you use these plot
twists, although they are masterfully designed by two extremly bright
minds. For instance, simply toying with space/time continuum, even to
make the past aware of the present, can have shameful consequences, the
least of which could possibly be the end of the world, and possibly the
worst of which would be the death of yon hero. For instance, what should
happen if yon old hero (in James' design) steps into yon field after the
new, young robust current hero does, say for instance, the old hero is too
slow (since he is old), and therefore does not make it in time. I know
how much you dislike forced story elements, so there's an issue you may
face.
As far as the dust of time, so to speak, goes, I think it needs
some work as well. For instance, does it only make the hero affected, or
does it simply work all over the place. Better yet, does it have a time
limit, give the player something to strive for (and although they might
fail, maybe give them an alternative possibility), and make it difficult
god damn it. I want challenge.
	Just some thoughts I had.
	I'll shut up now...
